Trying different diets over and over again can get you to the point that you might think that you know them all and their concepts are well known to you as well.
It’s understandable because after realising all pluses and minuses of several diets you should be quite experienced and nothing really could surprise you. There’s one diet that could change your mind though.
It’s called Abs diet and it uses some old and almost forgotten concept. The concept is simple but very powerful same time; weight loss is achieved by exercising while having a special diet including just 12 nutrient rich foods.
About exercising… Muscles compared to fat, make your body spend much more energy to keep them in shape, that’s why in order to make your body use more energy, you need to have more muscle.
It’s quite simple. Instead of implementing traditional concepts and reducing your food intake you will build more muscle to use more energy. This way you will burn that energy which would be stored as fat in your body.
Let’s do some maths… Human body uses about 50 calories a day to keep 1 pound of muscle in shape. Doesn’t look too good? Multiply it by 10 and you will get the picture. 10 pounds of muscle will burn 500 calories a day which equals about a 1 pound of lost weight a week.
Beauty of this approach is its snowball effect where more exercise means more weight loss. The more you exercise the more effective diet gets.
Food part in the diet… Dieters are allowed to eat 12 nutrient rich foods that should provide all the vitamins, minerals and fibre. These foods are: almonds, low-fat dairy products, beans and peas, spinach and a couple of other green vegetables, eggs, instant hot oat cereal, wholegrain breads and cereals, berries, lean meats (such as turkey), olive oil, protein powder, peanut butter. Everything else is prohibited during the diet.
Duration of the diet usually is 6 weeks and some may find it hard to stick to it but better looking body, nice set of abs and weight loss should give needed motivation. Realistic weight loss in first two weeks is up to staggering 12 pounds.
